The garden had everything—flowers, streams, sunlight, song. But one thing was missing. At night, when the fireflies danced, the fairies noticed a gap in the sky. A single star had vanished.
“Why do you look up?” the other fairies asked a young fairy named Stella, whose wings shimmered like silver dust.
“Because something is gone,” she said. “And I will find it.”
The others laughed. “Stars do not vanish. They only hide.”
But Stella climbed the tallest oak, then the highest cloud, then the silver ladder of moonlight. She climbed until the garden was a speck below.
